The cost of eating out is skyrocketing all while the quality of such meals are rapidly declining. Now more than ever is the perfect time to grow, preserve and cook your own food. Not only will it save you a few dollars, you will also know more of whats in your food. Despite the advantages, most people think the effort of growing their own food, like vegetable, will take up too much time and space. Not at all because with some light, water, soil and a little natural nutrients, your vegetables will happily grow. Actually, as far as space is concern, if you don't have land, you can grow your vegetables in containers or by hydroponics with no soil at all. You just have to get a little creative with the space you have. I grow my vegetables in my yard, in containers and in water (hydroponics) because I like versatility and most of all availability. With a little planning you will be able to grow vegetables from season to season and enjoy the fruits of your labor all year long. |
